Historically, a division of CAAT-A, Local 240 is a member of OPSEU/SEFPO, representing full-time and partial-load faculty, librarians, and counsellors at Mohawk College. As of April 2025, Local 240 became a composite local, also representing part-time and sessional faculty for the first time after their union membership drive was successful. This latter group is currently bargaining their first Collective Agreement.
We work to protect the rights of our members and to establish a collegial relationship with our employer. We provide information, support, advice and advocate on behalf of our members.
